Logline
In an apocalyptic world ravaged by a mysterious virus, two estranged brothers, one clinging to faith, the other hardened by survival, must confront their fractured bond and moral convictions when an uninvited stranger forces them to choose between humanity and survival.
Synopsis
The Reckoning is set in the last uneasy days before the world fully unravels: a tribulation, not yet an ending. It tells the story of two estranged brothers as a deadly bioweapon does its slow work on their once-thriving rural town. Samuel, the younger brother, clings to his faith and hope for redemption, while Jude, hardened by loss and the brutal realities of survival, embraces a more pragmatic and ruthless approach. As resources dwindle and the bond between them begins to fracture, their fragile existence is further tested when an uninvited stranger enters their lives, bringing both risk and opportunity.
Forced to confront their deepest fears and moral convictions, the brothers must grapple with difficult choices that blur the line between right and wrong. The Reckoning explores themes of sacrifice, brotherhood, betrayal, and the challenge of retaining humanity in a world that has all but abandoned it.
This gritty, faith-based drama delves into the resilience of the human spirit and the enduring power of hope, even in the darkest times.
